And Then There Were Walls

Getting ready to raise the west wall of the second floor.
Crane sets up to lift the wall
The west wall is going up. The holes in the wall are the windows in the bathrooms.
This is the east wall fully in place.

This is really the coolest part of the whole project. To see the walls going up and realizing that this is actually happening after 2 years of planning. I am fascinated by how the crane delicately moves the massive structures around. I could watch that stuff all day. Probably the longest day for the crane will be the day that the roof joists go up. As that will be a day of lots of activity as the crane will raise and put in place each individual joist. What would be really neat is if you could catch that on video and play it back in fast speed. Really give that crane a workout. Anyway, I can't wait to see a picture of the finished building next to the 3D Rendering the Architect did.
